Who you are helping

People experiencing a crisis

Donations to the Choices Annual Fund help people with behavioral, medical, family or other challenges overcome extraordinary crises, such as sudden homelessness or disaster.

Foster families

The fund also supports foster families and other individuals who need additional assistance beyond their existing resources.

A family in need of support

A mother in the family experienced an unexpected job loss, which led to several months of missed rent while she worked to secure new employment. Once she was able to regain income, she gathered the resources to cover the majority of the past-due balance. The Choices Annual Fund provided support to help close the remaining gap.

With that assistance, the family was able to stabilize their housing and get back on their feet.

Help after a disaster

The Choices Fund for Families replaced belongings for a family who lost almost everything to a house fire.

Foster family support

Donations helped keep several siblings together in their new foster home.

The Choices Annual Fund bought enough furniture, including beds and bedding, to accommodate the new foster family.
