Background Checks
Our licensing staff is available to help you through the entire process. We’ll make sure your questions and concerns are answered and help you navigate the foster care landscape.
Ages 18 and older
Foster home applicants and household members ages 18 and older must pass these background checks:
- FBI Fingerprints
- Criminal History Background Check (court records search and/or local law enforcement records check)
- Child Protective Services History Check (child abuse and neglect registry)
- National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) Search
